The importance of cognitive-communication teaching in the study of pharmacology and pathophysiology as components of clinical thinking

Abstract

In medical education, basic approach to mastering competencies is the formation of the foundations of clinical thinking, i.e., the cognitive ability to solve professional tasks based on previously acquired knowledge, primarily the ability to analyse information, identify the root cause of a problem, generate various options for its solution, and the ability to construct consistent, reasoned arguments and draw conclusions.
