Аннотация: The aim of the study is to show the organization of educational process training and methodological support at the phthisiology and pulmonology department of Zaporizhzhia state medical university at the undergraduate level. The main body. Teaching of discipline “Phthisiology” in higher medical institutions nowadays greatly depends on the implementation of standardized health medical protocols and guidelines from the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, evidence-based medicine, and algorithms of the disease prevention. The teachers’ aim should be training of young professionals with a high level of theoretical knowledge, a wide range of clinical thinking and high quality of acquired practical skills that are essential for the future professional activity. Materials and methods: training and methodological support of mastering process of “Phthysiology” discipline at the phthisiology and pulmonology department at the undergraduate level. Organization of training ensuring of the educational process at the phthisiology and pulmonology department occurs according to the “Regulations on the organization of the educational process at Zaporizhzhia State Medical University”, instructions for students’ educational activity evaluation in the implementation of the European credit-transfer system of training process organization and methodical manual “ECTS system organization of educational process at Zaporizhzhia State Medical University”. Innovative teaching methods (online courses, etc.) are actively introduced. Innovative educational technologies should provide students with competence, creative activity and create their ability to make independent decisions. Therefore, an essential part of educational subjects teaching is the formation of the students’ clinical thinking, which is a component of professional skills. An important role in clinical thinking improving and practical skills formation plays an individual work of students. An important direction of the educational process organization at the department is the integration of interdisciplinary connections that promotes clinical thinking and motivation for discipline learning. Conclusions. Implementation of innovative teaching methods at “Phthisiology” discipline mastering is one of the important directions of improvement of students training in the modern higher medical institution. The basis of innovative students teaching methods is methods that help to generate creative, innovative approach to understanding professional activity, to develop independence of thought.
